David S. Kitson Library

The nonprofit David S. Kitson Library received its name from one of the most dedicated members of the Nosara community and has been established to foment the education of children and adults in the area. The community. Volunteers sponsor activities such as arts and crafts, aid to students and children's story time. Internet service i s provided to the community and foreign visitors. Like all charitable causes, the David S. Kitson Library needs help and support. When you visit Nosara we encourage you to visit and bring along monetary or book contributions.

Clinic

Provides general treatment for the comunity and visitors as well as for emergencies. The Clinic was established two years ago and was a great necessity to the town. The nearest hospital - in the town of Nicoya- is an hour away and as transportation is often limited, the clinic fulfills a key role in the lives of people in the zone.

You may be in the jungle but the mail will always come. The mail system is strong and very similar to the states. Yes they do get mail! Stop by and buy some stamps.

Red Cross

Provides emergency treatment and transportation to nearest hospital location. Be sure to donate to the Nosara Red Cross, or if your wallet is not that big, to the Red Cross nearest you. It cannot be said enough: these people work hard and get little or no recognition. So next time you're pondering the purchase of yet another SUV remember to give a little to those who are not as fortunate as you are.
