Nosara has options for all ages and energy levels.  Local horseback outfitters provide breathtaking beach and jungle rides for all experience levels; the Nosara River provides beautiful boat and kayak excursions; and our local zip line claims the longest cables in the world.  Quad rentals (all-terrain vehicles) let you explore the countryside, and the abundant protected green areas ensure that monkeys and other wildlife are part of your experience here.  You may also want to try snorkeling at a tidepool, offshore reef or one of the neighboring beaches.  There is also a library and DVD rentals for more relaxed activities.

Guided excursions are available to watch the turtles when they are laying their eggs at the Ostionale Reserve, about 45 minutes to the north.  About once a month, especially during the rainy season, thousands of turtles arrive at night to lay their eggs during whats called the arribada.
