The roads near Playa Guiones and Pelada offers several souvenir, boutiques, crafts and surf shops, as well as a bank, ATM and pharmacy.  Several locally owned and operated grocery stores provide a nice variety of fruits, vegetables, staples and imported items, with a decent if not extensive variety of wines.  Coffee shops, Internet access and dvd rentals are conveniently available.  There is an organic market every Saturday morning in the hotel/restaurant parking lot at Tropical Giordino.  In short, the necessities of life with many of the creature comforts as well.
