Description:

Since 1999, the Refuge for Wildlife has been shelter to many animals in need from the Nosara area and now from all over Costa Rica. Most of the animals that come are howler monkeys, but sometimes they also have other visitors, like squirrel monkeys, spider monkeys, capuchins, parrots, toucans, hawks, owls, pelicans, doves, vultures, margays, squirrels, porcupines, opossums, pizotes, raccoons, kinkajous, snakes, porcupines and bats. The Refuge has an Emergency Team, a clinic and a nursery. Their goal is to return the animals to the jungle as quickly as possible.
