As the population grows, the necessity to appropriate waste management gets crucial. According to Nosara Recicla, more than 30% of what goes to the Nosara dump is recyclable and 50% is organic material that can be compostable. Their mission then is to introduce and maintain sustainable waste management practices in Nosara and the surroundings, while educating the communities about it. They have a wide variety of projects, like the Recycling Collection twice a week, beach clean-ups, workshops, and more.
